Shampoos & Conditioners There are quite a few good shampoo lines in the market but on my 10 years working at a dog grooming place, these are the ones I love & recommend: Les Pooches - The best shampoo. Highly concentrated their line of shampoos is the best, worth the price. For dogs with white hair they have the Pooch Bright Shampoo, the only one that will really make the coat brighter. For dogs like Bichons and Malteses it’s a must have. Note: I do not recommend to use this shampoo full strength directly on the coat, it has to be diluted in warm water on the proportion they tell you and at most twice a month. EQyss - Great line of natural products. Eqyss makes the best conditioner - Premier (former Cloud Nine). It is good for all kind of hair and coat. Dogs like Poodles and Bichons will still be able to have their fancy and puffy hair cuts using this conditioner. For shedding dogs or cats after applying the conditioner scrub well the coat as you were washing it, that will loosen up the dead hair which will come out in clumps. It helps a lot with brushing and dematting the hair and it leaves a fresh scent on the dog’s hair for days. Use every time you bathe the dog. |
